Thanks for visiting my blog. Your creativity seems to lead you through life–not a bad way to go! The painting will be uniquely you and the recipient will bond even more closely to you for your effort and talent.
Thanks for stopping by. My granddaughter loves horses. She started riding last year. I haven’t drawn a lot of horses, my grandpa used to draw them for me when I was little. That memory keeps coming to mind as I do this for our eldest grandchild.
The sketch is looking excellent so far, I particularly like the horses’ head, I hope your granddaughter enjoys it as much as I hope you enjoy painting it.
Stunning drawing! The horse looks just perfect, very solid and 3-dimensional and also sweet and friendly. Seems like you must know horses well. I also appreciate that your working lines are visible.
Thank you! My grandpa used to draw horse for me when I was a little girl. I wish I had some of the sketches he made. I have several friends who are “horse people” but the biggest critic will be this little one. Makes Grandma a little nervous. lol.
Been exploring your blog, seems to me you are painting with words over there. Your creativity is growing in new areas. I just seriously returned to drawn art, kind of had a sputtering start. Perhaps it is calling for your return as well.
Lucky girl! Lovely!

I hope she enjoys it as well. I also hope she isn’t peeking over her mom’s (or dad’s) shoulder reading any of this.

The horse is great but the expression on the girl’s face is what really tells the story.
