I wrapped up Kinta stalking butterflies. Try as he might to catch them, the pipevine swallowtails were too quick for him. He is now six months old, a gawky age for a pup. His rabies titer is done and he will be clear to go home in September. We’re going to miss him around here. He’s full of play and snuggles.

He’s a stealthy puppy for sure. This is such a gawky age, right at the start of puberty. In a few more months, his puppy features will fade. In true golden fashion, his love of play will continue.

There’s no way to resist the affection of Kinta. He loves his person mom when she visits, too. Of all the pups we’ve raised over the years, he is in the top 10% for affection.

He is not our puppy. We are caring for him while he awaits approval to go home to our friends. They are from Japan and Japan has strict import requirements for pets. Japan is rabies free. Kinta must wait 180 days after his rabies titer level reaches the minimum.
I would only do this for dear friends who are more like family. One day, I will adopt a puppy from Kinta.

I think this would make great art for a kid’s room or on a set of greeting cards. Do love it! Thanks so much for sharing. It’s terrific that the butterflies, color, and flowers share the same color too. it ties them together.

Thanks, Linda. This is an illustration style kids seam to like a lot. And those iridescent blue-black pipevine swallowtails sure like the blue dick flowers. Come to think of it, they’ve been exclusive to the blue ones lately….hmmm.
